Chevy Berretta Alternator In-Line Fuse

Iv'e replace the alternator in my 1988 Chevy Berretta V6 (2.o)and now find I need to replace the In-Line fuse in the wire that leads from the BAT. terminal of the alternator to the starter bendix. The original was stampted with a (14). I tried a 14 amp fuse but it keeps blowing at start-up. The alternator is a 105 amp. What size fuse should be in place to protect my vehicle's electric system? I can't seem to get a reasonable answer from area garages. Thanks for any help you can give me. |
