value of poker chips

I recently bought a set of texas hold em and read through all of the rules. There was no information
on the value of each of the different color chips.
My friends and I decided the following:
white - $25.00
red - 50.00
blue - 75.00
green - 100.00
Would you please tell me what are the values for each
colored chip? I cannot find this information anywhere.
