Visitation rights
By Connie Knisley from Richmond, VA on January 03, 2006 in Legal Services
I have a 9 year old granddaughter that I have not been allowed to visit with for 6 months. I saw her on her birthday in April. Her family moved in May and I had no address or phone number. I called her other grandmother (with whom I have a good relationship) several time but did not receive a call back until Christmas time. She would not give me the phone number or address of my granddaughter. Arrangements were finally made for me to see her on December 31 from 11:00 am till 4:30 pm.
My son does not a good relationship with the mother or the grandmother but wants very much to see his daughter. He pays his child support regularly.
Do we need to hire a lawyer? Is it better to hire a lawyer for myself as the grandmother or for my son as the parent? |
