Murry lawn mower no compression after hitting lawn sprinkler spout

While mowing, a plastic sprinkler riser was up and was struck by blade of mower, mower no has no compresson however, when cord is pulled, blade turns and seems to be very connected, could I have bent a push rod or something else, mower is 4 years old, electric start, bought from wal-mart. |
