Tennis rules question

In a match recently a ball went to my doubles partner and it was close to the sideline. I said oh because I thought it might be going out. My partner hit the ball back and the opposition returned the ball into the net. They claimed they thought I had said out and stopped playing. We replayed the point. My question is what is the rule if the opposition misunderstands what is said? |
